Privacy Policy

Plomberie Horizon inc. (“Plomberie Horizon”, “we”) is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we use it and what your rights are.

It is adopted in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, and with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Privacy Officer

Any question, complaint or access request regarding your personal information must be addressed to this person.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Through the quote request form

When you complete our form, we collect:

• your first and last name;
• your email address;
• your phone number;
• your city;
• the type of request and the description of the work you provide;
• any photos you choose to attach.

2.2 During service work

If you become a client, we also collect the work address, service details, quote and invoicing documents, and any necessary payment information.

Attached photos reach us by email only and are not stored on our web server. They are deleted according to the retention periods set out in section 6.

2.3 Technical information

Our website uses no cookies, no analytics tools and no advertising pixels. We do not track your browsing and do not build any profile.

Website fonts are loaded from a Google service, which may transmit your IP address to that provider. No other information is shared with it.

3. Purposes of Collection

We use your information solely to:

• respond to your request and prepare a quote;
• schedule and carry out the work;
• invoice you and collect payment;
• provide warranty and after-sales follow-up;
• meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not send commercial communications without your prior consent.

4. Consent

By submitting the form, you consent to our use of the information provided for the purposes set out in section 3. This consent is free, informed and given for specific purposes. You may withdraw it at any time by contacting the officer identified in section 1, subject to information we are required by law to retain.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

Your information may be shared with the following providers, only to the extent necessary:

• Our web host (servers located in Canada) — form processing and delivery to our email inbox. No form data is retained on the web server.
• Our email and hosting provider — storage and transmission of emails.
• Our accounting and invoicing software.
• Our professional advisors (accountant, insurer, legal counsel), where applicable.

Some of these providers may store information outside Quebec. Before any disclosure outside Quebec, we ensure the information will receive adequate protection.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to assert our rights.

6. Retention and Destruction

We retain your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

• Requests without follow-up: 12 months.
• Client files, quotes and invoices: 7 years after the last service, in accordance with tax requirements.
• Files related to a warranty or dispute: until the applicable limitation periods expire.

At the end of these periods, information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: access restricted to authorized persons only, password-protected devices, encrypted site transmission (HTTPS) and secure document destruction.

We maintain a confidentiality incident register. Any incident presenting a serious risk of injury is reported without delay to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and to the affected individuals.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• access the information we hold about you;
• have it corrected if inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
• withdraw your consent to its use;
• request that information cease to be disseminated or be deleted, in cases provided by law;
• receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability);
• file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Submit your request in writing to the officer identified in section 1. We will respond within 30 days of receipt. Identification may be required to verify your identity.

9. Automated Decisions

We do not make any decision based exclusively on automated processing of your personal information.

10. Information Concerning Minors

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from persons under 14 years of age.

11. Changes

We may amend this policy. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date.
